Stories we've seen too often

Posted by Nadine Ducca Deharbe on August 7, 2011 at 9:05 PM Comments comments (0)

Hello everyone,

My master's degree has kept me away from the computer for anything not school-related. It has been a tough couple of months, but the results have been satisfying!

Below is a link to a list of stories editors have seen too many times. It has been published by Strange Horizons and I am sure it will cause more than one smirk!

Green Thumb

Posted by Nadine Ducca Deharbe on May 13, 2011 at 5:20 PM Comments comments (1)

Here's a gardening question for you all to ponder:

Have you ever tried to make your own compost?

And since we're on the subject... Here's another green thumb question:

Have you ever tried to make compost out of rotting zombies?

Crazy, indeed.

Meet Jeremiah, a survivor barricaded in his small plot of land in the Appalachian wilderness. Nocturnal zombies haunt his dreams while his days are spent cleaning the undead remains and tending to his vegetable patch -his only source of nourishment for the coming winter.

When this hapless fighter fertilizes his crops with the undead soil he has created one can only wonder what madness will ensue.

I introduce you to Green Thumb, a short story on zombies in Appalachia which I have submitted to The Zombie Feed Press for the special Appalachian Undead Anthology. I still haven't received a response so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

So much time, and so little to do! Strike that, reverse it. - Willy Wonka

Hi everyone!

I'd just like to let you know that this website is under construction - under very slow construction. I have tons of ideas for it but not enough time to sit down and edit. So much is going on right now! There's work, university, and my passion for writing - then there's also the eternal problem of trying to find some leftover time to spend with friends and family!

Nonetheless, I will work a little every weekend and hopefully this site will soon be up and running!

Nadine
